The democratic systems of our republic require conversation and compromise to solve problems. At Civics Learning Project, we believe students need to practice deliberative democracy in order to be the functioning community members we hope they become in adulthood.
This interactive workshop aims to provide educators with practical strategies they can use in their classrooms to facilitate productive student discourse. We will focus on ways to strengthen classroom conversations and community engagement.
