Dear Friends,

I’m writing to tell you about a great organization: Civics Learning Project. They are a non-profit organization of individuals, educators, lawyers, and civic leaders working to equip students with the knowledge, essential skills, and motivation to participate in our democracy. Last year, they reached nearly 150,000 students and more than 1,300 teachers in every part of Oregon.

Civics Learning Project programs change lives and make communities better. In the words of one student who participated, “It was with the help of the Civics Learning Project that I was able to… reflect deeply on what it means to be citizen of our community. In learning about the Constitution, I developed a deeper appreciation of the country I live in. I am proud to be an example of someone who was changed for the better by Civics Learning Project.”

You can support them during their Annual Fund drive by giving through the Willamette Week Give!Guide now through December 31.

Thank you for supporting this important work!
